Chocolate Chip Cookies
Simple cookie recipe, easy to make and yummy with tea! Makes about 20-25.
Ingredients
150g butter, softened
90g soft brown sugar
70g caster sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg
220g plain flour
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
Pinch of salt
200g plain chocolate chips
Method
Heat the oven 190C/fan170C and line two baking trays with greaseproof paper
Mix the softened butter with the sugar in a large mixing bowl until you end up with a creamy mixture
Add the vanilla and beat in the egg
Add the sieved flour and bicarbonate of soda, as well as the pinch of salt
Stir in the chocolate chips
Using a teaspoon, make small scoops and position onto the trays with a few inches in between each one
Bake in the oven for 8-10 mins until slightly golden
Leave to cool on the tray for a couple of minutes and then add to a cooling rack
